Get to know our daycare facilities, our team, and our values.
Our Values
In our daycare, we support children on their journey to becoming independent, responsible, and life-affirming individuals. The following values guide us:
Positive Attitude Toward Life
We want to encourage children to go through life with confidence and openness. A positive mindset helps them embrace challenges and grow with joy.
Wonder at the Special
Children should have the opportunity to discover the world with open eyes—curious, amazed, questioning. We create spaces where they can perceive the special in the everyday and allow themselves to be touched by the beauty of small things.
Responsibility & Solution-Oriented Thinking
We encourage children to take responsibility for their own actions, contribute to social interactions, and find solutions independently. We support them with patience, trust, and clear values.
Christian Values as a Foundation
Our community is shaped by Christian core values such as love for others, tolerance, compassion, forgiveness, and justice. We live these values in everyday life—through rituals, stories, songs, shared celebrations, and daily interactions. The Christian faith is conveyed to children in a culturally and religiously sensitive way, as described in the curriculum framework.
Gratitude and Mindfulness in Everyday Life
We foster a mindful perspective on the small things: on what we encounter, what strengthens us, and what connects us in daily life. Gratitude for the ordinary—like a shared meal, a kind word, or a sunny morning—creates inner strength and appreciation for life.
Our View of the Child
For us, children are active, curious explorers who discover their world with enthusiasm. We create a stimulating learning environment for them and demonstrate through our own actions how respectful interaction works. Our pedagogy is based on respect, trust, and participation.
Our Team
Our dedicated team of educational professionals, trainees, students, and career changers with a wide variety of cultural and professional backgrounds creates a loving, safe, and stimulating environment for the children entrusted to us.

Our Flower Fairy Elena
Our current project is “the blooming kindergarten”—we are collecting donations to transform the kindergarten into a blooming flower oasis. Our flower fairy Elena actively supports us in planting and caring for the flowers.
Daycare Dog Cookie
Our daycare dog Cookie is an integral part of our daily life and creates many wonderful moments with the children through his calm and friendly nature. He is currently undergoing training to become a therapy dog to support the children even more specifically in their development and well-being in the future.
Our Goals
Social Interaction
Children experience with us what it means to be part of a community. We foster empathy, consideration, cooperation, and compassion—values they naturally learn through daily interaction and gentle guidance.
Resilience & Self-Confidence
We strengthen children in trusting themselves and their abilities, dealing with challenges, and learning from experiences. Emotional strength and inner stability are the best companions for life.
Open-Mindedness & Cultural Diversity
We live cultural openness and tolerance. Our bilingual approach (German–English) gives children not only language skills but also an open perspective on the diversity and cultural richness of this world. Knowledge of a foreign language opens doors and hearts to other cultures.
Location & Facilities
Centrally Located in the Hochdorf Business District
Our daycare is located at Hanferstraße 4 in the Freiburg district of Hochdorf. The location in the business district was deliberately chosen to make it easier for parents to balance work and family life. The proximity to the expressway and highway enables time-saving access. The daycare is also easily accessible by public transport and bicycle.
Child-Friendly Spaces Across Nearly 1,000 m²
Our nearly 1,000 m² of bright and welcoming spaces invite children to play and explore. They are completely tailored to children’s needs. We place special emphasis on an aesthetic and appealing environment where everyone can feel comfortable.
Diverse Outdoor Areas
Despite our location in the business district, we have generous outdoor areas. A large sand area, a cozy courtyard with playhouses and opportunities for planting, as well as a meadow provided by Viessmann, invite children to play and discover. However, we especially love visiting the forest—almost daily—because that’s where the most beautiful playground awaits: full of secrets, changes, and adventures.
Social Commitment
Together, we stand for humanity, solidarity, and opportunities for a better future.
If you would like to donate, we will provide you with all the necessary information upon request. Every contribution helps and directly benefits the projects. These projects are made possible through the commitment of our staff—particularly through private donations as well as proceeds from our bazaars and our support association.
Nigeria – Education for 17 Children
In Nigeria, we currently cover school fees for 17 children. This enables them to attend school continuously—an opportunity that is financially out of reach for many families. Education opens up future prospects, strengthens self-confidence, and gives children the opportunity to shape their lives independently in the long term.
Madagascar – Support for Children and Women
In Madagascar, we fund the position of an educator in a kindergarten. This not only creates a safe place for learning and playing but also relieves mothers who know their children are well cared for while they work. Additionally, we support a doctor in the capital Antananarivo who provides free medical treatment to women in need. In a country where healthcare is unaffordable for many, this work offers vital help and new hope.

Membership in the support association is possible starting at €10 per month. You will of course receive a donation receipt for this. For information, please contact: foerderverein@kita-unitedkids.de
